Admission of Students



Section 1. An application for admission to the first year (freshmen) must have satisfactorily completed the pre-legal course in a recognized college or university. Any graduate of a four-year Bachelor of Science or Arts degree may be admitted as freshman provided he/she has earned at least 18 units of English, 6 units of Mathematics and 18 units of Social Sciences. Or an equivalent Bachelor’s Degree as may be authorized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Legal Education Board (LEB).

That the admission or rejection of a person to enroll in law is addressed to the sound discretion of the dean; however, if he decides to accept one who has unit deficiencies in Mathematics or Social Sciences, there are three condition to be met: a) that the enrollee has graduated from a bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences; b) the completion of the deficiencies shall be done during summer; and c) there is no Supreme Court rule against the system.

Section 2. All students entering the BulSU College of Law for the first time shall take an entrance examination, which consists mainly of a test logic, comprehensive, articulation, and aptitude for the law profession. Entrance Examination are given, upon prior application, in accordance with the schedule duly announced, generally at any time between the closing of the school and reopening of classes.

Section 3. Credential for Incoming Freshmen.

(a) A Certificate from the Dean of Law that the applicant has passed the entrance examination.

(b) Original Transcript of Records, with Special Order and the degree indicated therein; and with remarks “For Further Studies,” or certificate of Graduation (if Transcript is not yet available);

(c) Certificate of Good Moral Character from the school he/she last attended.

(d) Two (2) copies of 2×2 recently photographed pictures;

(e) NSO-certified Certificate of Live Birth.
